VIDEO: COPA AMERICA 2007 GOALS

After sixteen minutes Antonio Valencia gave Ecuador the lead with a good finish. Top-heavy Humberto Suazo equalised five minutes later before Ecuador retook the lead two minutes later through Benitez after joke Chilean defending. Chile equalised thanks to Suazo’s second ten minutes from time, and with three minutes to go Villanueva got the winner with a brilliant free-kick.

Dunga loses his first competitive match in charge of Brazil. Nery Castillo scored a wonderful opener, with a goal which was reminiscent of Pele’s 1958 World Cup final goal against Sweden. A Ramon Morales free-kick eight minutes later made it 2-0. And it should have been three, but Castillo missed an open goal after doing all the hard work.
